Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) FitStat ("we", "us", "our") uses on fitstat.in (the "Platform"), why we use them, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.
1. What Are Cookies?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. It is commonly used to make websites function, or function more efficiently, and to provide information to the site's operator. Browser local storage works similarly — it stores a small piece of data in your browser — but is not sent to the server with every request the way a cookie is.
2. Cookies We Use
FitStat uses exactly one cookie, which is strictly necessary for the Platform to function and is set only once you sign up, log in, or use an admin/trainer session:
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
session |
Keeps you securely logged in as a Customer, Trainer, or admin while you use the Platform. Cryptographically signed; stores no data readable without our server-side secret key. | Strictly necessary (essential) | Expires when you close your browser |
Because this cookie is strictly necessary for login to work, we do not ask for consent to set it — under both Indian and international cookie-law norms, strictly-necessary cookies are exempt from consent requirements. Our cookie banner is shown to inform you of this, not to ask permission for something optional.
3. Local Storage
We use one entry in your browser's local storage, fitstat_cookie_consent,
purely to remember that you've dismissed the cookie notice so it doesn't show
again on your next visit. This never leaves your browser and is not sent to our
servers.
4. Cookies We Do Not Use
- No advertising or ad-retargeting cookies.
- No third-party analytics or cross-site tracking cookies.
- No social-media tracking pixels.
If this ever changes — for example, if we add analytics in the future — we will update this policy and our cookie banner to ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie, in line with applicable law.
5. Third-Party Resources
Some pages load resources from third-party domains to render correctly:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) — used to display the Platform's typeface.
- FullCalendar CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net) — used to render the trainer availability/booking calendar.
- Razorpay checkout.js — loaded only on the payment step, to process your Booking payment.
To the best of our knowledge these do not set cookies for the resources we load, but your browser does make a direct network request to these third-party domains, which exposes your IP address to them under their own privacy policies. We do not control what these third parties do with that connection beyond serving the requested file.
6. How to Control Cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Since our only cookie is what keeps you logged in, blocking it will simply sign you out and prevent Customer/Trainer/admin login from working — browsing the public Platform (events, pricing, trainer listings) does not require it.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if the cookies or similar technologies we use change. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any change.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Subject to our Grievance Redressal Policy, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to this policy.
